Power Rangers Zeo
"Oh Brother"

Katherine Hillard walked inside after getting the mail. "Here.", she said throwing her cousin a letter.

Carri Hillard was sitting on the couch watching TV. "For me? Wow.", said Carri as she opened it.

"There's no return address. Who's it from?", asked Kat as she sat down beside her.

"Hang on a minute! I'll get to that.", she told her as she opened the letter. "Dear Carri. Ok, so it's been a while since we've talked. I guess it's all my fault. No, wait a minute! You could've written me you know. But this letter is not to place blame. Just to see what's up. And to let you know I'll be coming for a visit. Us college kids have a week off and for some off of the wall reason I'm coming for a visit down there. I can meet the friends you guys claim you have. And I was hoping I could crash at you guys' place. Hey, I'll sleep on the couch - whatever. So, I'll be there Friday, arriving on the plane that should get there about 5. See you then - Josh."

"Friday? Tonight's Wednesday. Well, at least we got some notice.", Kat commented

"Hey, it will be good to see Josh again. I haven't actually talked to him since I moved here.", Carri said

"I haven't talked to him since the last time I visited you.", Kat told her

Carri hopped up. "Well, we'd better get going if we want to make the movie.", Carri said

"I suppose your right. You know, I've heard it's really good.", Kat said

"Me too.", Carri agreed as she grabbed her jacket and they left

The gang was having their daily after school meeting at the Youth Center. For once, nobody was sparring. Adam was going to, but he was waiting on Billy.

"Oh guys, guess what.", Carri said

"What?", asked her boyfriend, Rocky DeSantos

"Josh is coming for a visit.", Carri told them

"Josh? Your brother?", asked Tommy Oliver

"The one and only.", Carri replied

"I'll bet your happy.", Adam Park said

"Well, I haven't seen my brother in a while. So, yes.", Carri told him

"I don't know if I want to see him. He's so obnoxious!", joked Kat

"Probably just runs in the family.", Rocky teased

"Are you trying to tell me something?", questioned Carri

"Come on! You know we all love you.", Tommy told her

"Uh-huh. Whatever.", Adam whispered low enough to make it look like he didn't want to be heard but high enough for Carri to hear

Tommy laughed as Billy was approaching.

"What's so funny?", Billy Cranston asked

"Nothing. Us. You know, the usual.", Rocky told him

"Picking on Carri again? Aw, come on. One day you're going to traumatize her for life.", Billy joked

"Why do I even bother saying anything anymore! Am I that easy to pick on!", Carri exclaimed

Tommy nodded his head yes. Rocky put an arm around her. "You do know that it is really out of love, right?", Rocky asked

"Yeah. Besides, my brother is coming to town and he'd beat every single last one of you up if I thought otherwise. So it doesn't bother me.", she told him

"Come on Adam. I'm ready. I've been working out at the gym lately. And I've been practicing some of the moves Tommy showed me. I think I'm ready to take you down.", Billy said confidently

"I'm glad to hear that. You can sure give it your best shot. I'd like to see you try to beat me, but...", Adam's voice trailed off as he finished the challenge

"I accept your challenge. Come on, let's have a go at it.", said Billy. And with that, both of the boys jumped up ready to go.

"Ok, so, where's every one heading this afternoon?", asked Kat

"Home.", Tommy told her

"I have to go watch my siblings. My mom wanted to go somewhere, and that leaves me in charge.", Rocky said

"I have to.... to...", Carri said as she shrugged her shoulders

"Come with me?", Rocky filled in

"Eh. Sounds good.", Carri said

"What about you?", asked Tommy

"Me? I'm going to help the dance school set up for a recital.", Kat informed them

"Well, have fun.", Tommy said

"I will. I always do. I love those little kids. They're so cute.", Kat said

"Then they grow up. And, well, we're prime examples of what happens then.", joked Carri

"Come on. Let's get going.", said Rocky as he stood up

"I'm going too.", said Kat

"I guess I might as well go. On second thought, I want to see who wins the Cranston - Park showdown.", Tommy said changing his mind about his plans

"Let us know who wins.", said Rocky as he, Carri and Kat walked to the door

"Alright.", Tommy agreed

"Well, I'm heading this way, I'll talk to you guys later.", said Kat as she walked off

"Ok, see you when I get home.", Carri said as she waved bye

"Bye Kat.", said Rocky

Rocky and Carri walked towards Rocky's house. "So, your brother's coming here.", Rocky said

"Yep. He wants to come meet my friends, see what's going on down here.", Carri told him

"I don't know if I really want to meet your brother.", Rocky told her

"Why not?"

"Well, I'm and older brother, I know how it works. Big brothers don't really like little sisters' boyfriends. We're very protective. And I know when my sisters start dating I will probably have problems with a lot of the guys they go out with.", he explained

"What, you think Josh won't like you? Come on, you guys will become quick friends. He has never really had a problem with any of the guys I've dated. Except the last two...", Carri's voice trailed off

"See, the last two. Now that you're older, he's more protective. I'm telling you, we're going to be on that sparring mat by the time this is over. And we will be throwing real punches.", Rocky warned

"You are making a big deal out of nothing. He won't hate you. And if he does, he can deal with me. In fact, I'd be surprised if he hated you. You're very charming. And cute. And I like you."

"I don't think he'll see the same quality's in me.", Rocky said

"Well, maybe not the cute part. His girlfriend would get jealous.", Carri joked

"You think what you want to think. And I'll know what I know. And we'll just see what happens."

"Ok. Fine. You'll see. Then I'll be right and you'll be wrong."

"You wish. I'll be right. Once again."

"Uh huh. Sure. Whatever."

"Let's not argue over this.", Rocky said as he put an arm around her

"Right. We'll just wait and see.", said Carri as she and Rocky made their way to his house

"Oh, Adam, Billy really got you with that one.", Tommy pointed out

"One lucky shot.", Adam said

"One, two three...", Tommy's voice trailed off as he continued to count on his fingers

"See, sparring is all about science. The right angles, force, and moment all combine to help influence the win.", Billy told Adam

"That or the strongest person with the more skill.", Tommy pointed out

"Well, if I win it will be science.", Billy said

"That's right. Because I'm the strongest with the most skill here.", Adam said confidently

"Um, hello. Adam, over here. Now, what were you saying about strongest and most skill?", asked Tommy

"You just wait Oliver. One day I will be better than you, and you will fall.", Adam challenged

"Maybe. But by that time I'll be dead and you won't be able to test your skill out on me.", teased Tommy

"Guys, arguing will get us nowhere.", Billy said as he threw a punch at Adam

Adam ducked. "You're right. Let's just fight."

"Hey guys, can I charge admission?", questioned Tommy

"Not last time I checked.", Billy said as he ducked a punch from Adam

Billy and Adam went at it for a few more minutes. Finally, in one triumphant movement, Billy got Adam down.

"Science my friend, it's all about science.", Billy said as he stepped off of the mat

"Come on, let's get a drink.", said Tommy as Adam was getting up

"Ok.", said Adam

Billy, Tommy, and Adam went over to a table to grab something to drink. Billy and Adam sat there catching their breath for a few minutes. "I told you science was better than skill.", Billy said

"Luck. Not science. I just had an off day.", complained Adam

"Science.", Billy said

"Luck.", said Adam

"Science."

"Luck."

"Science."

"Lu..", Adam started but was cut off

"Enough! I can beat both of you so it doesn't really matter who won that sparring match. Now I'm getting out of here before you two drive me crazy.", Tommy said

"I think I'll come with you.", said Adam

"Me too. Alpha isn't expecting me for a while. So, I'm free.", Billy said

"Ok, you can come. But only if you promise not to say a word about science or luck.", Tommy told them

"Ok.", they both promised

And with that the three boys left the Youth Center.

Carri, Rocky and Adam walked toward seventh period together, as they usually did. "I'm telling you, it was luck.", Adam said as he approached their classroom door

"Adam, you lost end of story.", Rocky said

"You got beat by the better party.", Carri told him

"I didn't get beat. He got lucky.", complained Adam

"I told you he was getting annoying.", Tommy said as he passed them while going into the classroom

"Adam, give it up. You've been telling us this since lunch.", said Rocky

Bing, bing, bing, bing.

"Besides, you now have a minute to get to class.", Carri informed him of what the minute bell just did

"Bye guys.", Adam said as he rushed off to class

Carri and Rocky walked into class and sat in their usual seats.

"One more period. Then it's the weekend!", Carri exclaimed as she took her seat

"And what an exciting weekend it will be. Since Josh will be here.", Kat pointed out

"Five o'clock.", Carri said

"You know....", Tommy started before he was cut off by the bell

"Ok class. Today we're going to learn some new gas laws.", Mrs. Applebee told them

"Alright!", exclaimed Rocky sarcastically as the class leaned back in their seats getting ready for the lesson

"So, what time are you leaving?", Kat asked Carri while they sat in the Youth Center

"About four twenty.", Carri told her

"Sounds good.", Kat said

Carri looked over at the guys, who were doing some type of tag team sparring. Tommy and Rocky had taken on Adam and Billy. "Looks like they're having fun.", Carri commented

"Yeah. Even Adam and Billy are enjoying themselves. And they're getting crushed.", Kat said as they both laughed

Suddenly, somebody new busted through the door of the Youth Center. "Ok, I'm here, you can leave now. Bye.", the guy said as he entered the Youth Center.

Carri and Kat got up and walked towards him. "Newsflash. I live here. I am a high school senior here. Which makes this my Youth Center, not yours.", Carri informed him

"But I'm still bigger than you.", the stranger said

"Now that I'm the one here with friends, I don't care.", said Carri

Both Carri and the stranger dropped the tough act and hugged each other.

"I thought you weren't getting in until five.", she said

"I caught and earlier flight. I figured it would be more fun to come in here and make an entrance then to have you pick me up at the airport.", Carri's brother, Josh Hillard, told her

"Well, you did make an entrance. Just like when we were kids.", Carri said

Josh noticed his cousin standing there. "Kat, it's good to see you.", he greeted as he gave her a hug

"Good to see you too. It sure has been a while.", Kat said

"You should have come and visited us in New York. That's your fault.", said Josh

"That's my brother. Always blaming someone else.", teased Carri

"That's my speciality.", Josh joked, "Now, let's meet these friends of yours." Carri and Kat led Josh back to their table. The three family members sat down.

"Where are your friends?", Josh asked

"Over...", Carri turned to point to the mat but they were gone

"They probably went to change. They'll be back.", Kat said

"Sure they will. You know I come all the way down here and I find that you guys are only friends with each other.", Josh joked

"You can't forget about our invisible friend Bob.", said Carri

"Oh yeah. Hi Bob.", Josh said extending his arm across the table to meet "Bob"

"What can I get for you?", asked Ernie as he approached the table

"The usual. If you remember it.", Josh said

"Are you kidding? I can name everything you and your friends came in here and ate. You were only here every day of the year asking for the same thing. What about you girls?", asked Ernie

"Nothing.", said Kat

"Me neither. But wait until Rocky comes over here. He'll order.", she said teasing her boyfriend

"Ok. Nice to see you again Josh.", said Ernie as he walked away

"Nice to be here again.", Josh commented

"Hey guys.", said Tommy as he, Adam, Rocky and Billy approached the table

"Hey.", Kat said

Rocky came in and sat beside Carri. Then Adam was beside him, Billy beside Adam, and finally Tommy between Billy and Kat.

"Guys, I'd like you to meet my brother, Josh Hillard. Josh this is Tommy Oliver, Billy Cranston, Adam Park, and my boyfriend, Rocky DeSantos.", Carri said doing the introductions

"Nice to see my sister actually has friends.", joked Josh as he shook everyone's hand

"Actually Kat made us hang out with her.", Tommy joked

"Not again. You guys are so mean.", Carri complained

"Mean, truthful, same thing.", said Adam

"So, who won?", Kat asked

"We did. I told you strength was better than science and now I've proved it.", said Tommy

"I still lean towards luck.", said Adam

"Well I have to say, strength one over science this time. But I want a rematch.", demanded Billy

"Same place same time. But on Monday.", Tommy said

"Sounds good.", said Adam

"I have nothing planned.", said Billy

"Me neither.", agreed Rocky

Ernie came back with Josh's food. "Anybody else want anything?", he asked

Everyone turned to Rocky. "Why are you looking at me?", he asked

"Because usually you're the one to order.", Carri told him

"I'm not hungry.", Rocky lied

Carri shrugged her shoulders. "Whatever."

The truth was Rocky was too nervous to eat, or talk or do anything else for that matter. Especially get near Carri. He's looking at me funny. I hate this. I hope she doesn't make us hang out together. I can't wait to get out of here. I hope I don't do anything stupid. Then Josh will hate me and in return Carri will hate me. Rocky worried.

"So Josh, how long are you in town for?", asked Billy

"Until next weekend. College kids have a week off.", Josh informed him

A whole week! I have to act like this, a perfect gentleman, a smart person, and someone Josh would like, for a whole week! Rocky thought.

"That's great. Then you'll be here to watch strength over science part two.", Tommy said

"Huh?", asked Josh

"Don't worry about it. It's something that Adam and Billy won't let die.", Carri told him

"Don't blame this on us. Tommy had to throw his two cents in.", Adam said

"That's because I'm the leader and the leader always has to throw his two cents in. And the leader is always right too.", Tommy told him

"Leader of what?", asked Josh

"Tommy's a pig headed person who thinks he's the leader of us all.", Kat said quickly making an excuse to cover up the truth

"Sounds like me.", joked Josh

"So, Rocky, are we still going out tonight?", Carri asked

"Yes.", he replied

"Ok. What are we going to do? I don't care. Just as long as we don't do anything stupid or pointless.", she told him

"I would never do anything stupid or pointless. We'll do something you'll like.", Rocky told her

"Ok. I'll just have to wait.", said Carri

"Well, I think we should head home and get Josh settled in.", suggested Kat

"You're probably right. Come on.", said Carri as she hopped up

"Alright. Nice meeting you.", he said to the boys

"See you later.", Carri said as she leaned over to hug Rocky. Carri was expecting a kiss too. But what she got was the worst excuse for a return hug ever.

"Bye.", Tommy said as they left

Adam watched until they had left the Youth Center. "Ok Rocky, what's the deal. You've hardly said two words and you've been acting kind of funny since, well since we got done sparring."

"I didn't feel like talking.", Rocky lied

"That's not the Rocky DeSantos I know.", said Adam

"Wait a minute. It's Josh isn't it. You're nervous because you're sitting here with her older brother.", Tommy accused

Rocky naturally denied it. "Why would I be?"

"Because the older brother is always protective of the younger sister. Especially when it comes to dating.", Billy pointed out

"Well, you guys are way off target. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go to work. I have to be there by four thirty.", Rocky said as he left

"I wouldn't blame him. If I was him, I'd be nervous too.", said Tommy after Rocky left

"You know Rocky. He'll be over it soon.", Adam said

"Either that or Josh will leave and it won't matter.", Billy told them

"Oh well. That's why I'm glad Kim didn't have an older brother.", Tommy said

"Neither did Tanya. We had it lucky.", said Adam

"I am heading off. I had a few modifications I wanted to make on... something.", Billy finished after realizing how loud he was talking

"Alright. Bye Billy.", said Adam

"Bye.", said Billy as he left to find a secure place to teleport

"Well, I guess we should go too.", said Tommy

"I guess so.", said Adam

And with that, they both left.

"My gosh we suck.", Josh said as he and his sister were watching one of the Dodgers - Braves playoff games

"At least you're in. We got booted out after that loss to St. Louis way back in early September.", Carri griped

"I know. I was sitting in my dorm room laughing at you.", Josh told her

"Jeeze thanks.", said Carri

"No problem.", said Josh

Ding dong!

"That must be Rocky.", said Carri as she jumped up to answer the door

"Hey.", she said as the door was opened

"Hello.", said Rocky as he greeted her by putting his arms around her and kissing her

Rocky quickly backed off when he noticed Josh sitting there watching.

Carri was a little confused, but quickly got over it. "Where are we going?", she asked

"I have brought dinner. And a picnic basket. And a blanket. And I think we would make the best use of that on the beach.", Rocky told her

"Sounds romantic.", said Carri

"It will be.", Rocky assured her

"Well Josh, I'm off.", she said

"Shh! The commercials are over, and now I have to listen.", Josh said waving her off

"Men.", Carri said as she headed out the door

Rocky heard what was on the TV. "Strike one to Piazza.", an announcer said

"I guess you're a Braves fan.", said Rocky

"Yeah right. Dodgers all the way.", Josh told him

"Really? I'm a big Dodger fan myself.", Rocky said

"Oh? Well, we will have to get together sometime. Not like we weren't going to anyway, since you are the one dating my sister.", said Josh

"Ok.", Rocky said even though he wasn't looking forward to that event. Rocky shut the door as he and Carri left.

Rocky and Carri arrived at her house later that evening. "That was fun.", Carri said as she opened the door

"Yeah, it was.", Rocky agreed as he followed her in

Rocky draped his arm over Carri's shoulder as the two made their way over to the couch, only to be greeted by Josh, who was mourning the loss of his beloved Dodgers.

"Jeeze, I don't know who's worse, you or Rocky.", Carri said

"Me probably.", Rocky admitted

"I don't know. You have to talk to Josh. He may have you beat on that one.", Carri told him as she stood there giving her brother the cold stare

Josh quickly noticed. "I suppose you two want a little privacy. Hm... I don't know."

Carri continued with the stare.

Josh finally gave into it. "Alright. You win. I'm going to bed now.", he said as he got off of the couch and headed upstairs

"Finally.", muttered Carri

Josh stopped and turned around when he got on the first step. "Oh, Rocky. I was thinking after you guys left, if you're free tomorrow we should do something. It would give us a chance to talk."

Rocky got nervous as he came up with the reply. "Well.. I'm working in the morning. Um.. I guess the afternoon's fine."

"Sounds good. Come by here. Since I don't know where you live. But I'm sure Carri could give 101 different ways to get there. But still.", Josh said

Carri threw a couch pillow at her older brother. "Go away!"

"Fine. I can see where I'm not wanted.", Josh said as he headed up the stairs

"Well, I guess you'll have fun tomorrow.", Carri said to Rocky as he slipped his arm from her shoulder to around her waist, with the other arm to follow

Rocky smiled. "Sure I will."

"Aw, come on. You guys will be the best of friends by the time the day is over.", she told him as she put her arms around his neck

"I doubt it. But, If it's for you, I'll give anything a shot.", he told her

"Thank you.", she said

Rocky leaned in and shared a long, passionate kiss with his girlfriend.

"I'd better go. It's ten o'clock. And I promised mom I'd lend a hand with the kids tonight. She's been so busy lately it's the least I can do.", Rocky told her

"Ok. I'll talk to you tomorrow then.", Carri said

"Bye.", said Rocky as he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and left

Rocky reluctantly walked up to Carri's house the next day. Well, here it comes. The moment of truth. He either likes me and we have a smooth relationship or he hates me and I'll have Carri hate me and my life will be screwed. He thought. Ding dong!

Josh finished jumping down the stairs and opened the door.

"Hi Rocky. Nice to see you. Come on, let's head out.", said Josh as he walked out the door and shut it behind him

"So, where too?", Rocky asked

"I was thinking you would tell me. Let's go do something that you would do with your friends.", Josh suggested

Rocky and Josh got into Rocky's car.

"When we get together we usually spar. Or something along those lines.", Rocky told him

"I'm not much for sparing. When I attended Angel Grove High we went to Manny's Arcade. Ever been there?", asked Josh

Rocky chuckled. "Once. Billy and I went there one time about a year and a half ago. Billy wanted to show me what true video game junkies look like."

"Let's go then. I want to see how that place is.", Josh said

"Ok.", Rocky agreed as he started up the car

Rocky and Josh wondered into the arcade. "Manny. Long time no see.", Josh said greeting the owner

"Well look who's crawled through my door.", Manny greeted

"So, what have we got?", asked Josh

"We've still got the air hockey tables. And we just got two new games. And one Pachinko Machine...", started Manny

"No Pachinko Machine! No way no how!", exclaimed Rocky

Josh looked at him funny. "What, you think the Pachinko Machine will attack you?"

Rocky stiffened up as he remembered what happened the last time he played on a Pachinko Machine. It wasn't exactly his favorite memory. How he felt like he let everyone down... not something he'd like to go through again. "Of course not. It's... well it's a long story. Let's just say the Pachinko Machine and I just don't get along."

Josh shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever. You know, I think we'll head to the air hockey tables."

"So he want's to take you on in air hockey. Brave. Very brave.", said Manny

"What are you talking about?", asked Rocky

"Oh, so he doesn't know.", Manny said as he raised his eyebrows

"I'm using him to warm up on.", Josh told him

"Good luck. You're going to need it.", Manny told Rocky

"What was that all about?", Rocky whispered to Josh

Josh smiled. "You'll see."

Josh and Rocky went to the first open air hockey table. Josh threw in two quarters and went to his side. "You must have the puck.", Josh said as he checked for it on his side.

Rocky got to his side and checked. "Yes.", he told him

"What are you waiting for? Let's go.", said Josh

Rocky put the puck onto the table and they started hitting it back and forth. Josh started out easy on him. "So, do you ever play much air hockey?", asked Josh

"Nope. Baseball is my sport.", Rocky told him

"I love baseball. She won't admit to it, but I taught Carri most of what she knows.", Josh said

"Really? You taught her how to pitch?", asked Rocky

"Yup. I taught her the mechanics. But don't think I'm a pitcher. I'm a drifter. I'm most comfortable at first, or in the outfield, preferably right.", Josh told him

"Rightfield is where I play.", said Rocky

"Well, what would you know. Speaking of baseball, how about those Dodgers?", asked Josh

"Let's not talk about that. They're embarrassing me.", Rocky told him

Josh smiled. "Join the club. If they don't start beating the Braves soon, I'm going to have to go into hiding until April."

"Look on the bright side. At least we have sense enough to cheer for the Dodgers.", Rocky told him

"As opposed to what?", asked Josh

Oh no. He sounded angry. I hope he isn't an Astro fan. Then he probably won't forget that. Rocky worried.

"Um, well, being an Astro fan.", Rocky said as he awaited a response

"Oh, so you pick on Carri for that too?", asked Josh

"You mean I'm not the only one?", Rocky asked

"Are you kidding me! She and I used to go into long debates about who was better. And of course I'd win. You do win those too... don't you?", Josh wanted to know

"Actually we have one long dragged out fight which will never in.", Rocky told him

"Don't give in. I know how she tried to persuade me. I can only began to imagine what she says to you.", Josh said

"Blue is the only color.", Rocky told him. He smiled as he thought about how true that was for him.

"That's the truth. Look. No score. Well, my arm is warm now. I hope you weren't planning on winning this or anything.", Josh told him

With that, Josh went on his usual scoring rampage. With in minutes he had put seven quick scores on the board and had won it. There was clapping heard from the front of the building.

"It sure took you long enough.", Manny said

"You must bow down and kiss the feet of your king.", Josh told him

"Oh yes, king of air hockey in all the land.", said Manny as he bowed down from behind his counter

"Do you want another shot at me?", Josh asked Rocky

Rocky looked at him like he was crazy. "I think one beating like that is enough to last a lifetime. If you want someone to beat up on, give Tommy a call. Or Billy or Adam."

"I'll talk to them the next time I see them. So, if you don't want to play air hockey, we'll hit the true arcade games.", said Josh

"Alright.", said Rocky as the two of them went over to an acrade game.

"Men. They think they know everything but they don't.", said Carri as she adjusted her backwards turned Astros hat

"Like women know anything. Especially about cards. As you can tell from my number of wins, that's our department.", Tommy told her

"On who's account?", asked Kat

"I think I should be better at this game then all of you.", Alpha told them

"Just because you're a robot and we're not sure when you're lying doesn't mean you'd be better than us.", Billy told him

"Come on, let's not argue about who's better than cards and just play.", Adam said as he finished dealing the cards

"You know, I don't like sitting where Zordon can see my cards. He may cheat for Alpha.", Carri complained

"YOU KNOW THAT I WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING THAT WOULD PUT ALPHA AT AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER YOU.", Zordon assured her

"That's right. Because he know's we would all throw a fit and quit completely and he would just be stuck getting another group of teens to come here and be zeo rangers.", joked Tommy

Here, of course being the Power Chamber, which was where they were holding the card game so that Alpha could be included.

"Ok. I'll go first.", said Kat. "One ace."

"I could... I should... naw. Two two's.", said Carri as she laid her cards down

"One... no two threes.", Tommy said as he laid his cards down

"One four.", Billy lied as he laid his down

"BS!", yelled Carri

"You were never very good at lying.", Tommy informed his friend

"I try.", said Billy as he collected his cards

"I have one five.", Alpha told them as he laid his card down

Adam laid a card down. "Here's my one, single, lonely little six."

"Three sevens.", Kat said as she placed them on the table

"Three? I find that hard to believe. But, because I want to win, I'll keep my mouth shut and put down my one eight.", Carri said

The game went on like this until finally they came up with a winner.

"One two I'm out. I win! Finally!", yelled Carri as she threw her card on the table

"BS!", yelled Tommy

Tommy turned the card over only to see that it was a two. Carri pushed the cards Tommy's way. "Merry Christmas.", she said

"Finally someone has thrown Tommy from his perch.", said Adam

"I wanted it to be me. Oh well, there's always other days.", Alpha said

"Come on guys. Let's go get something to eat.", suggested Kat

"Sounds like a plan.", said Tommy

"I'm in.", Adam agreed

"Me too.", said Carri

"Well, I might as well come.", Billy said

"Bye Alpha!", said Kat as they teleported out

Ernie approached the table so he could serve the teens. "What can I get for you?", asked Ernie

"You know, I think all of you should buy me a victory meal.", Tommy told them

"Look here Oliver, I won one too, so unless you want to pay for my meal...", Carri threatened

"Fine. If that's the way it's going to be I'll pay for my own food.", Tommy told her

"That's better. Now, I'll have... a chocolate shake. With sprinkles.", Carri said giving her order

"Some meal. I'll have a burger and fries. With a soda.", Tommy told Ernie

"You know, that shake sounds really good. I think I want one too.", said Kat

"Same as Tommy.", Adam said

"Me too.", agreed Billy

"Alright. I'll be back in a few.", said Ernie as he left

"You know, I think we should play poker next time. I could win some money.", Tommy suggested

"Well, it won't be in the Power Chamber. You know Zordon would be mad if we betted on cards, especially in his presence.", Billy reminded his friend

"We'd have to play somewhere where Zordon would never find us.", said Adam

"Carri's room.", Kat suggested

"I know that's right. I can hardly find anything there and I know it would be impossible to find the five of us there.", joked Carri

"Is it actually safe in there?", asked Tommy

"Um... it hasn't been marked as a safety hazard... yet.", answered Carri

"Well, then we go in there... you know.", said Adam as he went through some of the beginning motions for morphing so he wouldn't have to say it

"I'm not sure that would do any good.", Carri told him

"I don't think Superman could survive in there!", joked Kat

"You know, I'm getting the feeling that it's about time to clean my room.", said Carri

"You think?", asked Tommy

"Here you go.", said Ernie as he arrived with their food

"Thank you.", said Billy as Ernie left

"So, where were we?", asked Tommy as he took a bite out of his burger

"We were dissing my room, but that's gotten old.", Carri told him

"True.", Billy agreed

"So... have you guys heard about the winter ball?", asked Adam

"Nope. How do you know about it? It won't be held until closer to Christmas Break.", Kat asked

"I have my connections.", Adam told them

"He probably slipped into the Power Chamber one night and scanned the planning book at school. That's how he knows.", teased Carri

"I believe we would have noticed if he came in.", Billy told her

"He could have made himself invisible.", joked Carri

Tommy busted out laughing and when Carri saw him laughing she did too. "Ok, I'll admit. That was a little far fetched.", Carri said

"How would I make myself invisible in the first place?", Adam wanted to know

"The little green men did it.", suggested Kat

That caused another laughing spell, and this time it was all five of them.

"Ok, what's so funny?", asked Rocky as he and Josh approached the table

"If we told you, you'd probably send us all to the mental hospital.", Billy told him

"That I can believe.", Rocky said

Kat looked in deep thought for a few moments. "On the next episode of X-Files...", was all she had to say to get them started again

"Ok! Let's just leave it at connections.", Adam said

"You're right. But don't think I won't be coming up with all sorts of interesting ideas.", Carri warned

"I know you will.", Adam told her

Rocky and Josh both pulled up chairs on either side of Carri. "Look at that.", Josh said as he yanked Carri's hat off

"Hey! Give that back!", exclaimed Carri

"You know, I've been meaning to do that all afternoon. But I figured she'd try and kill me. Better you than me.", said Tommy

"I think I'll just dispose of this...", started Josh as he got up to walk to the trash can

Carri jumped up and got a hand on her hat. "Um, no. I don't think so.", she said as she yanked it out of his hands.

"Josh, you're so mean!", Kat told him

"I'm supposed to be.", Josh replied

"You should've jumped up and grabbed the hat for me.", Carri told Rocky

"Why? I want to burn it.", Rocky said

"That's it.", said Carri as she got up, grabbed her shake and her chair, and went to sit between Billy and Adam.

"We're neutral. You're safe over here.", Billy told her

"Thank you.", said Carri

"So, what did you guys do all afternoon?", asked Rocky

"We were all playing cards with Al.... Al.", Adam told him being careful not to let "Alpha" slip out

"It sure took you long enough to spit that out.", Josh told him

"Um.. I couldn't remember if it was just Al or not.", Adam said trying to cover it up

Josh just shrugged his shoulders.

"So where were you?", Kat asked the two

"Manny's Arcade.", Josh told them

"Speaking of the arcade, you guys should play him in air hockey.", Rocky told his friends

"Sounds like a challenge. Name the time and place, and I'll be there.", said Tommy

"Ok. I'll do that.", Josh told him. "You know, I think we played everything but the Pachinko Machine."

"Can't imagine why.", said Billy

"What a waste of money.", commented Carri

"And that hat wasn't?", questioned Rocky

"How come when I really need something to throw at someone, I don't have anything?", asked Carri

"That's a good thing for me.", Rocky told her

"You know, this has been a pretty calm...", Tommy started but was interrupted

Beep Beep BeepBeep Beep Beep.

"I just had to open my mouth.", Tommy said

"Come on.", said Adam as he got up

"Where are we going?", asked Josh

"We? There is no we. All six of us are going to talk about something very important. We'll be back.", said Carri as she and the others walked to a secure spot in the Youth Center

"What is it?", asked Tommy

"King Mondo has sent the cogs to the beach to stir up some trouble.", Alpha told them

"I think we should crash their party.", said Tommy as the others nodded their heads in agreement

"I'll talk to you guys later.", said Billy as he teleported off

"Right. It's morphin time!", yelled Tommy

"ZEO RANGER I, PINK!"

"ZEO RANGER II, YELLOW!"

"ZEO RANGER III, BLUE!"

"ZEO RANGER IV, GREEN!"

"ZEO RANGER V, RED!"

Ten minutes later, the power rangers were still gone and Josh was still sitting at the table all alone. "Sheesh, they must be talking about the history of the world in there. I wish they'd hurry up.", muttered Josh

Only seconds after Josh's complaint, the rangers showed up. "Where were you!", he exclaimed

"Like I told you, we were talking about stuff.", Carri reinformed him

"Like what?", he asked

"Like none of your business.", she snapped at him

"I can't believe you won't tell me.", Josh said

"This is something that goes way back. You'd have a better chance of keeping your insanity if you were to drop it.", Tommy said coming to his friends rescue

"Fine. We'll forget about it.", said Josh

All the rangers sat down in their same seats.

"So, what's everyone doing tomorrow.", asked Kat

"Ask me that tomorrow morning.", Adam told her

"I'm with Adam. I'm not one to plan ahead.", agreed Tommy

"Well, I could take a wild guess at what I'll be doing. But it could benefit the world, so I like it.", Billy told her

"Sounds like you think very highly of whatever it is you do.", Josh told him

Billy felt like hitting himself once he realized Josh was indeed still sitting there. At least he hadn't said what he almost did which would have given their identity away.

"I could see Billy saving the world. He's a genius.", complemented Kat

"Thank you.", said Billy

"So, are you coming back over here?", Rocky asked Carri

"I'm very happy between Billy and Adam.", she replied

Rocky got up out of his seat. "Want to go for a walk?"

"As long as you leave my hat alone.", Carri told him

Rocky threw his hands up in the air as to tell her he would.

"See you.", Carri said as she and Rocky walked out arm in arm

"A whole lot quieter with her gone, don't you think?", asked Josh after Rocky and Carri had left the Youth Center

"A little. But wait until I leave.", Tommy told him

"I know you don't talk as much as she does.", Josh said

"No, he's just louder.", Adam told him

"So, who's coming to tonight's recital?", asked Kat

"When and where is it?", Billy wanted to know

"The recital hall. Seven o'clock.", Kat told them

"I'll be there. I'd like to see how you were able to shape up those kids.", Adam decided

"Are you dancing?", asked Tommy

"I am only in two pieces.", Kat informed him

"Unless I find myself needed, I'll come.", Billy said

"I can't think of anything better to do. I think it will be cute.", said Tommy

Kat turned to her cousin. "Coming?"

"I have a date with the TV and the next playoff game.", he informed her

"Well, at least my five friends will be there.", Kat said

"So Rocky and Carri are coming?", questioned Adam

"Yes. They just don't know that yet.", Kat told him

"Very sneaky. I like it.", Tommy said

"Thank you.", Kat said then she was deep in thought for a few seconds. "You know, we have to get together. As a group. We haven't done that in so long, unless you count the Youth Center, which I don't. We need to have a group outing."

"I agree. But what? There's nothing exciting to do.", agreed Tommy

"How about a movie? As a group. Then we can go to the cafe that's up by the theater. Then maybe we can play some ball or something.", suggested Adam

"I like that. We'll make it a group afternoon.", Billy said

"What day?", asked Kat

"I'm free tomorrow afternoon.", said Tommy

"Me too.", agreed Adam

"Same here.", Billy said

"Then it's settled. We'll go to a movie at three and take it from there.", said Kat, "I'll talk to Carri and Rocky later and make sure they can come too."

"Have fun.", wished Josh

The guys looked at each other. For a moment they had forgotten about their present company.

"Um... you could come too I guess.", offered Kat

Josh smiled. "What, are you kidding? Me impose on all your fun? You guys go ahead. Do something."

"Glad you think that way.", Kat told him

"Well, what now?", asked Tommy

"Hit the mats?", Adam suggested

"Let's go.", said Tommy as he and Adam hopped up

"Since Rocky isn't here to make a fair two on two, I suppose I shall go.", Billy told the two remaining at the table

"Bye Billy.", Kat waved as he walked away

"Should we go?", asked Josh

"Come on.", Kat said as she got up with Josh and went home

Rocky and Carri's walk led them to the beach. They walked along near the shoreline, Rocky with his arm around Carri.

"Well, we've managed to avoid it this long, but, how did it go?", asked Carri

"It went... well. I think we got along fairly nicely. But I won't swear by it. You'd have to ask him to be certain.", Rocky told her

"Knowing him you and I would have never walked out together if he hated you.", she told him

"You can dislike a person without hating them.", Rocky pointed out

"True. But that's not his style. But I am going to talk to him about it. And I'm sure it will be good. Which is good. I told you the two of you would get along.", Carri said

"So we haven't killed each other. That's always a good sign.", said Rocky

"Right. So, what did you talk about?", asked Carri

"The Dodgers. The arcade games. We mentioned you.", Rocky told her

"You didn't play him in air hockey, did you?", asked Carri

"As a matter of fact, I did.", he told her

"I'm so sorry.", she apologized, "How bad was it?"

"Bad. Very bad."

"Ah. Sounds bad. But believe me, I know how it feels. When he needed someone to practice on, or usually it was just beat so bad it wasn't even funny, it was me."

"This time it was me. You should have told me he was a champion in air hockey."

"How was I supposed to know you went there? Unless of course you did something stupid like leave where to go up to him."

"I did something stupid."

"Figures."

"What are you saying?"

"Oh nothing.", Carri teased as she broke away from Rocky's arm

"Come on, tell me.", Rocky asked

Carri turned around and walked backwards in front of him. "Uh uh.", she said as she shook her head no

Rocky started to run to grab her and she turned around and ran to try to avoid him. Finally Rocky caught up to her and he tackled her, both of them falling to the sand. A big wave washed over them leaving them wet, but happy.

"How long is it going to be before they start.", complained Carri

"I don't know. I find myself asking the same question.", said Adam

"They have to prepare for the recital. Things like this take time.", explained Billy

"If you say so.", said Rocky

"Come on guys, this will be worth it when they come out.", said Tommy

"Probably. But they're still taking to long.", Carri complained

Suddenly the lights dimmed and the curtains were raised. The ballet troupe was standing there and they begun to dance when soft music begin to play.

The audience sat there and watched the dancers dance to a selection of songs for about an hour and a half. Finally, the lights came on and dancers of all ages came out to take a bow, with Kat and her little kid group leading the pack. The audience stood up and cheered.

"Way to go!", yelled Tommy

The whole audience was filled with cheers like that for all of the dancers. Finally the place quieted down and the dancers went of stage.

"Come on, let's go see Kat.", said Tommy as they all climbed out of their seats and joined the stream of parents anxious to see their children

As the parents and children met the parents gave the children hugs and kisses, and lots of words of praise. Some of the children even got roses. Eventually, they had made it past their parents and the children and found Kat.

"Sorry Kat, but we didn't bring any flowers.", apologized Tommy

"In fact we didn't bring you any expensive gifts. Just some words of praise.", Billy informed her

Kat smiled. "I didn't expect you too."

"That's a relief.", said Carri

"Well, I'll have to say you did an excellent job with them.", congratulated Rocky

"Now I'm going to continue to work with them and in January I am taking over the next class. Plus maybe some more.", Kat told them

"Wow. That's a lot of work.", said Adam

"I know. But I want to do it and I love the kids, so it's worth it.", Kat said

"You're good. And I know the kids love you.", said Tommy as a group of her students came over to give her a hug.

"I suppose it was worth the wait.", Carri told Kat. "But, I waited so long, I'm ready to go home. Are you coming?"

"I think I'm going to stick around for a while, if you don't mind.", Kat said

"Since Carri is looking to get out of here, I'll stay and take you home.", offered Tommy

"Thanks Tommy, but, like Carri, I drove my car here. Why she wanted to know if I was coming I don't know.", Kat told him

"Can I not ask?", Carri wanted to know

"No.", Rocky replied

"Fine then. See you guys later.", said Carri as she turned to walk away

"I'm leaving too. Bye.", Rocky said as he went to catch up with Carri

"Same here. See you.", said Adam as he left with Rocky and Carri

"I need to go.", said Billy as he headed somewhere to teleport

"Looks like it's just you and me.", said Tommy

"Do you want to help me clean up?", asked Kat

"Clean up?", questioned Tommy

"You know, move the props, sweep, organize the music.", Kat told him

"Sure. I'd be glad to help.", said Tommy

"Right this way.", Kat said as she led Tommy off to start cleaning up

"It's eleven o'clock, when is she getting up?", Josh asked Kat

"You know her. Stay up all hours and sleep in until the afternoon.", Kat replied

"Afternoon?", Josh questioned

"Well, mid to late morning.", said Kat

Carri bounced down the stairs a few seconds later. "Good morning.", she greeted

"I have never known anybody to sleep as late as you.", commented Josh

"What can I say. One picks something they're good at and stick with it. In my case it's sleeping.", joked Carri

"Funny, and I thought it was baseball.", Josh said

"So, are you ready for this afternoon?", asked Kat

"Yep. What time does the movie start?", Carri questioned

"At three. And we're meeting in front of the theater by two forty-five.", Kat told her

Carri turned to look at the clock, which read 11:40. "That means I have three hours to do whatever."

"You're coming with me.", Josh demanded

"May I ask why?", asked Carri

"We need to have a classic older brother to younger sister chat.", Josh told her

"Joy Ren.", Carri replied

"Come on, let's go for a walk.", said Josh as he headed towards the door, with Carri following behind.

Carri and Josh went in the direction of the park, and it only took them a few minutes to get there. "So, I suppose this is about yesterday.", Carri said

"Yes it is.", agreed Josh

"Let me have it straight up.", Carri demanded

"Sounds good. Rocky seems like a pretty nice guy. And, unlike David and some of the others, I don't mind if you date him. In fact, we get a long so well I'd say go for it.", Josh told her

"Well, now that I have the all mighty Josh's permission, I will continue to date Rocky.", Carri said. "Not like your permission has ever mattered before though."

"I know. But usually I end up saying I told you so. Like with David...", Josh started

"Let's stay far away from that.", Carri interrupted

"I think you did good this time.", Josh told her

"Now, do I get to judge your new girlfriend?", asked Carri

"Dream on. Who I date is my business.", Josh said

"May I ask what is the difference between you and me?", Carri asked

"I am the older brother here and besides if my girlfriend turns out wrong it's a whole lot easier for me to get out of that relationship than you with a guy. I have to be the one to protect you.", Josh told her

"Whatever.", Carri said

As they walked peacefully through the park a group of cogs jumped in front of them trying to ruin their afternoon.

"Get out of here!", Carri yelled to her brother

"And leave you to fight... whatever these are? No way!", Josh said not moving an inch

"Josh, you... never mind...", Carri let her voice trail off because it wasn't worth it. She knew how stubborn he was.

Not wasting any time, the cogs came at them full force. Carri fought them as usual, and did good considering she was not morphed. Josh had a few problems, he was trying to fight them like he was back in New York.

"Man, these guys are tough! Are you ok?", Josh yelled over the cogs

Carri ducked the attack from an oncoming cog. "Just fine." Carri managed to slip through some of the cogs and ran right into a monster.

"I'm back!", he announced

"You again? Didn't we beat you once already?", asked Carri

"Yes that's right, it's Leaky Faucet, here once again.", said Leaky Faucet

"Come over here and fight me!", Josh yelled to the monster but was jumped on by a mound of cogs

Carri turned around just in time to see Josh be taken away by the cogs. "Leave him alone!", she ordered

"Let's see here... no.", replied Leaky Faucet

"Alright, you asked for it. It's morphin time!", she yelled

"ZEO RANGER II, YELLOW!"

"You think one little power ranger is going to stop me?", questioned Leaky Faucet

"No, but five will.", Tommy told him as the rest of the rangers appeared out of nowhere

"Five, one, what's the difference?", asked Leaky Faucet

"The difference is, five of us will crush one of you.", Rocky announced

"Maybe some other time. I have some damage to do. See you later.", Leaky Faucet said chickening out of the fight and leaving for some destructive work.

"What happened?", asked Adam

"The cogs came and attacked me and Josh and then there was the monster...", Carri's explanation got interrupted.

"Where's Josh?", asked Kat

"The cogs, they took him somewhere.", explained Carri

"Come on, let's get back to the Power Chamber and see if Zordon knows anything.", said Tommy as they teleported out

"Good news, I have found your brother.", Billy greeted the rangers

"You did? Where is he?", asked Carri

"It appears he is in some sort of, well, hollowed out rock which is protected by a force field.", Billy told her

"How do we get him out?", asked Rocky

"Actually it seems fairly easy. I believe that it will only take one ranger. If you ride your Zeo Jet Cycle in, you can ride right up to the mouth because the cave is underground. Then, using this", Billy paused to bring out a new toy, "you can slip down into the rock and back up, get Josh, get out of the force field then teleport him to safety. The only problem is how many cogs await you."

"What's that?", asked Kat

Billy pressed a button on the contraption, which was only about 5 inches long, and a hook came out of it followed by some rope. Billy stopped it before the rope shot out to far. "Good for going up and down.", Billy told them

"Sounds good. When do I leave?", asked Carri

"You're not going, I am.", Tommy told her

"He's my brother and I already let him down once. Because I couldn't morph I let the cogs take him to that place in the first place.", said Carri

"YOU DID NOT LET HIM DOWN. YOU DID ALL THAT YOU COULD TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. DO NOT BE HARD ON YOURSELF.", Zordon told her

Suddenly the alarm went off and the rangers turned around to see Leaky Faucet having his fun at the main source for all of Angel Grove's water.

Tommy turned to Carri. "You go with them, I'll save your brother."

Carri nodded her head yes.

"It's back to action!", yelled Rocky as the four rangers teleported out

Tommy took the rope from Billy and put it in his belt.

"Good luck.", wished Alpha as Tommy left

Tommy approached the hole and jumped down. Being morphed, he didn't need the rope to get down, just up.

As Tommy made it to the bottom he saw the cogs who were surrounding Josh. "Don't you guys know by now not to mess with the power rangers?", he asked as he ran to attack them.

"Alright, you've had your fun. Now it's our turn.", Rocky informed Leaky Faucet

"Look, it's the power rangers. You can't beat me.", said Leaky Faucet

"We've done it once, and we'll quickly do it again.", Adam told him

"I don't think so.", Leaky Faucet said as he headed for the pipes

"Don't let him...", Kat started but it was too late

"Quick, cut him off!", yelled Carri

Each of the rangers went to different spots, ready to stop Leaky Faucet. Unfortunately, the cogs showed up trying to ruin their plans.

"We've got to take them out fast, who knows what Leaky Faucet has planned.", said Rocky as the others nodded their heads in agreement

Tommy threw around another cog or two. He was defeating the cogs, easily. After a few minutes the cogs gave up and left. "Once again, we have defeated the cogs.", Tommy announced the obvious as he went over to see if Josh was ok.

"Wow, the red power ranger.", said Josh

"In the flesh. Come on, we need to get you out of here.", Tommy said as he shot the rope up to the top of the hole.

Josh jumped on first, followed by Tommy. They quickly made it to the surface and jumped on Tommy's Jet Cycle. As they drove away, the Quadrifighters were shooting at them.

"This isn't good!", Josh pointed out

"We have to hold on just long enough to get out of this force field...", Tommy's voice trailed off.

They quickly made it out of the force field and Tommy hit the button which teleported him, his Jet Cycle and Josh out of there.

At about the same time Tommy had finished his fight with the cogs, the other rangers were disposing of the cogs they had to deal with.

"Now for Leaky Faucet.", said Rocky as they all spread out looking for him

The rangers were completely quiet so they could here when Leaky Faucet came there way.

"What to do? I know, contaminate the water.", said Leaky Faucet as he slid through the pipes

Carri heard him and cut off the valve he was coming too.

"Better go another way.", said Leaky Faucet as he turned around.

Carri listened for what direction he was going and pointed at Adam to let him know to be ready.

"Better chance directions.", Adam informed him as he cut off his valve when he heard Leaky Faucet come towards him

"Again? Oh well, new direction.", said Leaky Faucet

Adam listened and pointed towards Kat letting her know he was coming her way. Kat quickly recognized the sound of Leaky Faucet sliding through the pipes and cut him off from coming here way. Kat could hear him groan as he once more changed directions. This time Kat pointed at Rocky.

Rocky was thrilled that he finally made it his way. Unlike the others, he was at the end pipe, with an already closed valve. As soon as Rocky was to open it, out comes Leaky Faucet.

"They'll never get me.", said Leaky Faucet when all of the sudden he made it towards Rocky and came flying out of the pipes

"Looks like we already have.", Rocky told him as he and the other three rangers surrounded the fallen monster

"We can't let this happen!", exclaimed Klank as he threw Orbus

"Up you go.", said Orbus as Leaky Faucet grew to an enormous size

"We need Zeo Zord power, now!", yelled Rocky

Tommy and Josh had teleported to another desert area and had gotten off of the Zeo Jet Cycle. "Come on, I'll have you teleported home.", said Tommy

"What about my sister? Is she there?", asked a worried Josh

"No, but...", started Tommy

"The monster, the one that looked like a faucet, he got her didn't he? I can't believe I let her down like that.", Josh interrupted

"She's fine.", Tommy assured him

"Then take me to her.", Josh demanded

"I can't...", Tommy started but jumped back as Josh got in his face

"You have to! She was my responsibility, and I know she's in trouble. I can't have my little sister out there with God knows what...", Josh tried to get out but was interrupted by Tommy

"She's in the hands of the Power Rangers. You try and help her and you'll only get yourself killed. Trust me.", Tommy tried to comfort him

Josh looked down and nodded his head yes. Before he was teleported, Tommy noticed the look of concern in his eyes.

Tommy made it to the fight just in time to see Leaky Faucet fall, hopefully for the final time. "Way to go!", he congratulated after they had gotten out of the Zords

"Thanks.", said Rocky

"Did you..", Carri started but Tommy interrupted knowing what the question was

"He's at home. And he's worried sick about his sister, so you had better hurry up and get home.", Tommy told her

"Thanks.", Carri said as she got ready to teleport

"Wait, why don't you power down and I'll take you home. That will make it look like a real power ranger rescue.", suggested Rocky

"Ok.", agreed Carri as she powered down. "See you at two forty."

Rocky and Carri teleported out.

"Well, there's not much more to do here.", Adam pointed out

"True.", Tommy agreed

"I guess I'll go home, and teleport somewhere in the back.", said Kat as she left

"See you later.", said Tommy as he and Adam both teleported out

Carri and Zeo Ranger III appeared before Josh, who was pacing around the living room. "Thank God you're ok!", exclaimed Josh

"The power rangers saved me. Thank you.", she said as she waved to Rocky

Rocky took that as his cue to leave, so he waved and got out of there.

"So, what happened?", asked Josh

"Nothing much. The dumb monster and I shared some words, then the power rangers showed up and there was a showdown.", explained Carri

Just then the back door opened and Kat walked in.

"Where have you been?", Josh wanted to know

"Oh... out.", Kat told him

"You will never guess what happened to us.", Josh said

"You're right, I probably won't.", agreed Kat

"We were surrounded by bad guys, and some of them took me while the others tried to get Carri. I met the Red and Blue Zeo rangers.", Josh told her

"I met more. I met the Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink rangers.", bragged Carri

"Really? Which one did you like the best?", asked Kat

"The yellow one.", Carri said coming up with a quick answer

"The red ranger saved my life, so I'd have to say him.", Josh told her

The red ranger is my favorite too, but for different reasons. thought Kat. "I've heard good things about the pink ranger.", Kat told them

"Pink is such a drab color.", Carri said

"You just like yellow because it's close to one of the Astros' colors.", Josh told her

Carri smiled after Josh said that. She had never really thought of that before.

Kat looked up at the clock. "Come on, we've got to go if we want to meet the guys on time."

"Alright. See you later.", said Carri as she and Kat walked out the door

"Over here!", yelled Carri as she received the pass from Rocky

Kat came up to Carri like she was supposed to in the man to man defense. Carri turned around to protect the ball, but Tommy came up in front of her.

"Help!", she yelled

Rocky came up to the side of her and clapped his hands too times. Once Carri heard that, she quickly threw him the ball. Rocky then passed it to Billy, who had crossed from one side of the basket to the other. Billy turned and shot, giving his team the victory.

"Alright, way to go Billy!", Rocky congratulated as he and Carri went up to him and they exchanged high fives

"Yeah man, nice shot.", agreed Adam

Tommy hit him on the shoulder.

"What was that for?", asked Adam

"You can't congratulate the enemy!", joked Tommy

"Well, that was a good game.", Kat said

"Great way to finish off the afternoon.", agreed Billy

"What should we do now?", asked Tommy

"Go home. Sleep.", suggested Carri

"Sounds nice.", said Tommy

Everybody started to head home, with Billy teleporting away, but Rocky grabbed Carri's arm. "Let's go watch the sunset from the beach. It's gorgeous from there.", he whispered into her ear

"I'll be home later.", Carri said to Kat as she and Rocky headed in a different direction

"Should we follow them?", asked Adam

"It might make Rocky mad.", Tommy pointed out

"True. But it would still be fun.", said Adam

"How rude could you get?", Kat asked

"You don't think we'd actually do that do you?", asked Adam

"With the two of you, I never know.", Kat told him

Tommy put his arm around Kat. "Come on, you know us better than that."

"Unfortunately, I do.", joked Kat

Tommy and Adam laughed as they all approached their cars and got in them, leaving the basketball court behind for the time being.

Rocky and Carri approached her house, not to long after sunset, to find Josh standing downstairs with bags in his hands.

"Where are you going?", asked Carri

"I decided I've had enough adventure in this one day to last me a lifetime. I'm going to go stay with Brad and Rush for a few days, see what's going on with them, check out who they're dating.", Josh explained

"Won't your girlfriend be jealous?", asked Carri

"What she won't know won't hurt her.", joked Josh

"Too bad you're leaving. We could have gotten to know each other better, maybe caught a few games.", Rocky told him

"Games? We'll be lucky if there is more than one left.", Josh pointed out

"You're right. But there's always next year.", said Rocky

"We'll talk this summer.", said Josh

"Do you need a ride?", asked Carri

"They're coming to pick me up.", Josh replied

"I guess all that's left is bye.", said Carri as she gave her brother a hug

"Bye.", said Josh as he returned it then turned to give Kat, who was standing there silently, a hug.

"Bye Josh.", said Kat as she hugged him back

Josh heard horns honking outside. "Well, good-bye all.", said Josh as he headed out

Josh stopped as he passed by Rocky, who was standing with one arm around Carri. "Keep an eye on her for me, will you?", asked Josh

"You know it.", Rocky assured him

"And you two have fun!", yelled Josh as he headed out the door

"So much for that visit.", commented Carri after he left

"Ok, you were right.", Rocky told her

"Aren't I always?", asked Carri

Kat eagerly answered the question. "I don't think so."

"I'll have to agree with her.", Rocky said

"Fine then. I'll just go over here and sulk for a while.", said Carri as she walked over and sat on the couch with her arms crossed.

"No loss to us.", said Kat

"I have to go anyway.", Rocky told the girls as he went over and kissed Carri good-bye.

"See you tomorrow.", said Carri as he left

"What do you want to do?", asked Kat as she joined her cousin on the couch.

Carri turned on the TV. "The movie of the week is supposed to be good."

"Why not.", said Kat as they settled in for NBC's Sunday night movie

Bring!

The final bell came through loud and clear.

"Time for the rematch.", announced Adam as he came into the others 7th period classroom

"Let's get going.", said Tommy

The rangers walked out of the school and headed to their cars. Within minutes they had arrived at their next destination, the Youth Center.

"You girls can't miss this.", Rocky told Carri and Kat

"Wouldn't miss it for the world.", Carri replied

"We'll get front row seats.", said Kat

"Great, now all we're waiting for is... Billy.", Adam said noticing that their friend had come into the Youth Center

"Let's get this started.", said Billy

"Ok. You want the first crack or shall I?", asked Tommy

"Go ahead. Have fun.", wished Rocky

"Ok.", said Tommy

Both Tommy and Adam jumped on the mat for some more of their tag team sparring.

"Go team go!", cheered Carri and Kat followed

"Go team go?", questioned the temporary sidelined Rocky

"You don't have a team name do you?", Carri asked

"Well, no, but... never mind. Just cheer for us.", Rocky told her

"That's what we were doing.", Kat told him

"Come on Tommy!", Carri yelled

"This isn't fair. Where are our cheerleaders?", asked Billy

"You've got two. Why don't one of you come over here.", suggested Adam as he threw a punch at Tommy

Tommy ducked it and managed to get Adam on the ground. "Because they know we're going to win."

Tommy and Adam sparred for another few minutes until Tommy got Adam down once more and hopped off of the mat so Rocky could go at it.

"Go Rocky!", cheered Carri and Kat

"Watch this.", Rocky said as he took Adam down

Adam had reached the peak of his frustration. He hopped up and went over to Billy.

"Show them your science.", Adam requested

"No problem.", said Billy

Billy went onto the mat with a look of determination in his eye.

"Alright. Look out, both of you.", Billy told them

"Come on, let's see what you've got.", said Rocky

Billy and Rocky went at it for a while. Billy was seeing much of the same results as Adam. He wasn't having much luck at all defeating Rocky. After Rocky had gotten him down three times, Billy had reached the same point Adam was at earlier.

"Ok, let's finish this and have everybody on the mat.", said Billy

Tommy and Adam hopped back onto the mat and there was what looked to be a totally new way to spar going on. Carri and Kat looked at each other.

"What are they doing?", whispered Kat

Carri just shrugged her shoulders. "All I know to do is cheer."

"Sounds good. Come on Tommy and Rocky!", yelled Kat

This went on for another few minutes until Tommy and Rocky emerged triumphant. "Way to go.", said Tommy as he and Rocky exchanged high fives.

"We are good.", announced Rocky

The boys turned around to help Billy and Adam up and off the mats. "Are you satisfied?", asked Tommy

"Not completely.", Adam told him

"But, for the moment, science has been beaten by strength.", Billy admitted

"Come on, we'll buy you some drinks.", said Rocky as he and Tommy led everyone away from the mats.

The six teens went and sat at a table, with Kat, then Carri, Rocky, Tommy, Billy, and finally Adam.

"Good job.", congratulated Carri

"Thanks.", said Rocky

"You two did very well.", Kat told them

"It was nothing.", said Tommy

Ernie came over and the guys quickly ordered themselves some drinks.

"Nothing?", questioned Adam

"Well, you guys were good, but we were just better.", Tommy told them

"We were preoccupied with... stuff. That's why strength one over science this time.", Adam said

"Strength always wins over science.", Tommy said

"Science is still more important than strength.", Adam told him

"Strength."

"Science."

"Strength."

"Science."

"Strength."

The remaining four people at the table looked at each other then got up at once.

"Let's go.", said Carri

"We have to be... somewhere else.", said Rocky as he led Carri out of there

"Somewhere much more... quieter.", agreed Kat as she went with them

"And sane.", Billy said as he joined the threesome

The four friends walked out of the Youth Center and went to do other things.

"Are they saying we're loud and crazy?", Tommy asked

Adam looked deep in thought for a moment. "No, couldn't be."

Adam and Tommy went back to their arguing over something that they felt just couldn't be decided, which was better, strength or science.

The End
